Paving the Road

Our road has really needed paved since we moved in over 8 years ago and it's FINALLY getting done. We received a letter saying it would be done in the next 30 days, but didn't know exactly what day. The started on one side of the neighborhood and worked their way towards our house. The kids were dying with anticipation and would ask everyday if today was the day.
When we were done with scout camp I picked up the two little kids from my friend who was watching them and we headed home only to find out our street was blocked off because THEY WERE PAVING IT!! The kids were sooo excited. We hurried to park the van and walk to our house and we got their just in time. They were paving the cul-de-sac across the street and then we were able to watch them do our house.
We had front row seats!
The kids were able to watch the entire process and loved every minute of it.
They were excited to see a real life "Bessie" (like on the movie Cars)
Steam rollers in action
Chloe decorated a pine cone for me : )
