Halloween Festivities

I found a carved pineapple in a magazine and decided to try and make our own. The kids loved that it had wild hair.

The only problem was he was really leaky. We had to keep him on a plate because he was continually leaking juices.

The kids painted their pumpkins this year.
They all agreed they don't like touching the pumpkin "guts"

Gavin painted a different face on all 4 sides of his pumpkin

Annual Feet Loaf

The kids were super excited!!

Anakin Skywalker, Astronaut and Bumble Bee
They all had to try their costumes on before Halloween to "test them out"

The boys did these poses all on their own

Their first Trunk or Treat in our new ward.
In the back of daddy's truck with all of their loot

Chloe had a carnival at her school we took the kids too. The older students did face painting for them. Gavin had a dragon, Mason had a Star Wars logo and Chloe got a monkey.

Getting ready to go on the "Haunted Bus!"

Wild Adventure Corn Maze

The kids worked hard all morning cleaning the basement, cleaning their rooms and putting all of their laundry away so they could go to the Wild Adventure Corn Maze
It has been raining so much and was super muddy.
Luckily I planned ahead and they all had boots to wear.

The Zip-line!

Jousting

I would love to say we had a great time the entire time, but I would be lying.  After we paid and we realized how muddy it was I left to the van to put my own boots on. Cody was suppose to be watching the kids on the slide, but when I got back they were nowhere to be found. We looked all over for them for what seemed like forever.  We finally found them on the bounce house, but neither of them had shoes on so their socks were all wet and muddy. They refused to not wear socks to keep their feet dry, so they had wet socks inside their boots.
Once in corn maze Mason was whining because his feet were wet, Chloe was whining because her feet hurt (because all of her shoes no matter what hurt her feet, but only after they feel completely wonderful in the store and then suddenly get rock hard and pokey once they are paid for and home), and Gavin was complaining because his legs were tired.
The rest of time spent to get back out of the maze was miserable with lots of whining and very ungrateful. This was suppose to be a fun family outing, but it wasn't at all. By the time we got out Cody and I were so grouchy and we would've left (and probably should have to prove a point to the kids) if we didn't spend so much to get in.
Luckily, the rest of the evening went better. The kids went on the barrel ride twice, the hayride, on the little cars, straw maze, bounce houses and then spent the rest of the time back on the zip-lines.

Visit to the Treehouse Nursery

The kids picking out their own pumpkins. Mason picked out one that was half his size!! We also went on a wagon ride (in the background)

I can't ever get a serious face out of this one!
Towards the end of the ride we stopped by a pumpkin cannon and they were shooting pumpkins at two old cars clear down at the other end of the field. The boys loved it!

They also have a Fairy Tale Forest

Chloe
Mason
Gavin

Climbing Jack's Beanstalk

My little Goldilocks with the 3 bears
Gavin climbing Rapunzel's hair
This grandpa was telling the kids Fairy Tells

The other kids from the daycare
Fort Cob was hands down the kids favorite part! It was a little fort that was full of corn kernels that they could lay in, play in, dig in, etc. We spent the majority of our time in here and then after we did everything else the kids wanted to come back and play in it again.

Chloe has been into taking her elastics, bows, headbands etc out of her hair everyday. It looks cute in the morning, but by lunchtime it is all over in her face.
