Orphans?

As a child I remember hearing "you look like a little orphan" and at the time didn't know what they were talking about, but I imagined I looked something like this:
We played in the dirt, ate without bibs and mowed the lawn. This was the end result!
NASTY!!  Look at the bottom of his feet
Yes ladies and gentleman that is snot hanging from my nose. Mommy was busy mowing the lawn and didn't have time to stop and wipe it.
Oh My! I have never looked so terrible!
"Gross" - Mason
He actually doesn't look too bad, but all 3 of them got two baths that night. One to get the grossness (is that even a word?) off and a second to get clean!

Sprinklers!!

One of these days some of my fellow talented blogging buddies will teach me how to make a collage of my photo's (hint, hint) but until then you will just have to scroll through them all!
Gavin was so excited when we got to G&G B's and they had their sprinklers on. He was so timid at first, but then he really got into it!
Madisen was playing right along, but wasn't sure about getting wet

 Sinus rinse anyone?

 Soaking Wet!
A few minutes later he discovered the sprinkler in the back yard!

Madisen again wanting to join in the fun, but only wanting to get partially wet!

Gavin was shivering by the time he was done. We stripped him down to his undies on the back patio and made a big puddle when we rung (?) his clothes out. We gave him a warm bath, got some dry clothes on and then he snuggled in my lap in a blanket.  My lap is going to be overflowing once Mason and Chloe get old enough to join in the fun.

The Zoo is Open!

Gavin has been asking almost everyday when the zoo is going to be open and I finally got to tell him that it was!! We went on Saturday with my sister and her girls.

We get a Tiger picture every time we go to the zoo
 Feeding the Pelicans

Gavin loved the peacocks. I think because he likes Kung Fu Panda 2 and it has a peacock in it, Shen the Evil Peacock to be exact
More peacocks. I was hoping they would fan out their feathers at least, but no such luck
Gavin and Madisen were holding hands a lot while walking through the zoo, it was so cute!
The lion stood up and looked right at us while we were there. It was a little bit creepy
Chloe and Mason

Chloe kept taking her shoes off so I finally ended up taking her shoes and socks off and she was barefoot.

I was feeding the kids animal crackers for a snack in the zoo and then realized how weird that was.
Here kids, look at the animals, OK now eat one!!

I asked Gavin what his favorite animal was this trip and I thought for sure he was going to say the peacock, but he didn't. He told me it was the flamingo's, snake, monkey's and the vulture. Some of our favorites (kookaburra, alligator, parrots) weren't there yet so we will just have to see them next time.

Mohawks!

Bath time Mohawks are beginning to be a tradition at our house so I figured I'd better capture it for future reference!

Party! Party!

We partied our butts off on Friday! My nephews Kessler and Isaiah had a combined birthday party Friday afternoon complete with a jump house! All of the kids (me included) had a blast playing in it. I almost had my father-in-law convinced to get in and go down the slide, just once, but he chickened out at the last minute.
Chloe was gathering up all the suckers from the goody bags that the kids were leaving around
You can never have to many suckers!
The jump house was so much fun
Gavin doing flips down the slide
 Savannah!!
Glad they decided to dog pile on her and not me!
The second party we went to was my Uncle Keith's surprise 60th!  He thought he had to help the Bishop interview someone, but when he got to the church and walked past the gym doors they turned the lights on and yelled surprise! He had no idea, it was awesome! We ate yummy treats, watched a slide show and let him open his gifts. We got him a gag gift which was a bag filled with things an old man may need. Prune juice, Milk of Magnesia, Gas Relief, magnifying glass, Depends, denture cream and denture cleanser and a pair of fingernail clippers with an attached magnifying glass. He laughed pretty hard.

I don't know how I managed to not get a picture of any of the birthday boys, shame on me!

Happy 3rd  Birthday Kessler!
Happy 6th Birthday Isaiah!
Happy 60th Uncle Keith!
