Family Fun Saturday

We were suppose to go camping this weekend, but it took us longer than we anticipated cleaning out the old camper and getting our stuff into the new camper. It took us all of Friday night to take care of the old one and Saturday morning to move into the new one and take the old one to it's new owner. In the process we did discover that a bird made a nest in my hanging basket and are hoping for eggs.
After we dropped the old camper off we stopped for snocones because it wasn't even noon yet and it was almost 90 degrees. Gavin was making me hot just looking at him in all of his warm clothes sitting in the sun.
The rest of us opted to stand in the shade of the Snoshack and eat ours.
We decided to head to Alpine, WY to get fireworks. We called Papa Moose and Grandma Bonnie to see if they wanted pick them up on our way through Palisades, but they were already there. We met up with them, at hot dogs (Gavin ate three by himself), hamburgers and funnel cakes. Then we visited with them, watched an airshow and did a little shopping.

Gavin also got to pet a skunk!!! Luckily he was de-scented.
The kids (along with Grandma Bonnie's help) talked us into buying them these bird whistles. You put water in them and they sound just like real birds.
Then we bought fireworks (this is part way through our shopping) and thanks to the kids and Cody's help I about had a heart attack when I paid for them at the register (Cody was out front with the kids playing on the old school wagon). We didn't need groceries this week anyway right?
We off course stopped in Swan Valley for some square ice cream cones
We did some snappers and party poppers when we got home and made Chloe a wig
Then Cody let Gavin light off a few of  the bottle rockets. Gavin was so excited that daddy actually let him do it and that daddy was teaching him how to do it.
It was so nice to just drop everything, not worry about chores, laundry, etc for once and just be together as a family all day. : )
