SEAWORLD - FGTD Day 7

Today is SeaWorld Day

The first thing we did was play with the cledner fish. They were tiny little fish that attach to you and it really tickles. We were here for a long time. the kids were loving it.

I even put one of my hands in the water and the kids were right, it did tickle!
Petting a tiger shark
Playing with a shovel nose guitar fish
"It's missing a weg(leg) mom" -Mason
They flipped one of the horseshoe crabs over so the boys could see what the bottom looked like
The aquarium
The kids loved watching the big turtles

Walking through the shark tunnel
Sea Lions Live Show
Solving a murder mystery

The Sea lions were amazing. This one jumped over the bamboo pole and made his landing all while keeping the ball on his nose

They even had their own "Dancing with the Stars" show

Then we headed to Dolphin Stadium for the Blue Horizon Dolphin show
Gavin picked out this squid hat as his SeaWorld souvenir
Cody wearing Chloe's glasses
Chloe finally noticed

Pilot Whale

The dolphin show was amazing. We were in the splash zone, but didn't really get wet.
Cody was excited he actually got to go to the Dolphin Stadium, unfortunately for him it wasn't the Miami Dolphin Stadium.

Close up with the dolphins

We also went to "Shamu's One Ocean"

Kissing!

We were in the Splash Zone again, on the second row, and this time we got splashed really good. Chloe was NOT happy about it.

Waving goodbye with their tails
Petting the starfish
Petting the spiky sea urchin
It was like petting a ball of toothpicks

Our view of the bay from the Skyride

These sculptures were made from garbage that washed up onto the shore

We spent a lot of time here with the bat rays and even came back a second time after Cody and Gavin went on the Manta roller coaster.

We bought some food so we could feed them. Mason fed took a turn feeding them and the bat ray swallowed up Mason's entire hand!! Mason laughed and said it tickled.

We went under the pool to have a looksie

They felt like slimy, mossy velvet
Polar Bears
Does anyone else crave Coca Cola when they see a polar bear?
A huge walrus
Beluga Whale
One of them was some how blowing bubble rings and then it would bounce the bubble ring around on it's nose.

Chloe's souvenier for SeaWorld. A "dolphin" (beluga whale) in a purse

Mason picked out a biting polar bear head on a stick
Cody and Gavin went on this ride called Journey to Atlantis. Cody is in the red on the very front row. When they hit the bottom the water soaked them
Dripping wet

Chloe ended up getting lost for a short period of time. She took the right fork in the path and we went left. Luckily when she realized she was lost she stopped walking like we told her too and was talking to a Seaworld employee when we found her. It was less than 5 minutes but if felt more like 30.

WHAT WE SAW:
Cledner fish, Tiger sharks, Horseshoe crabs, Shovel nose guitar fish,  spiky sea urchins, dolphins, pilot whales, penguins, sea lions, walrus, polar bears, beluga whales, beavers, porcupines, water monitor (not a lifeguard according to Cody), poisonous dart frog, flamingos, lots of sharks, orca's and a whole lot more that I can't think of right now.

When we left we had a mini picnic of Capri Sun, string cheese and gogurt in the parking lot to hold us over until we could get here:
We ended up paying $9 for valet parking because there was absolutely no where to park, but it was completely worth it. Dinner was AMAZING!!
A friend at work recommended this place. He is from San Diego and told us it would be a complete shame if we went to San Diego and didn't eat here.
You had to walk through the market inside to get to the restaurant. Cody was in heaven. He loves little shops like this.

Inside the restaurant. It looks like a dive, but it had so much character and the food was so good.
Our salad and bread sticks. It doesn't look like much but once your taste buds get a hold of it, they can't get enough, I'm serious!!
Our pizza. It was YUMMY!! Each individual topping had so much flavor, we couldn't believe it. The only bad think about it was it has ruined every other kind of pizza for life. Nothing can compare to this!
Gavin fell asleep at dinner.....AGAIN!!! I promise we are not drugging our child!
Chloe said she didn't want to sleep by the boys so I picked her up off of the bed and put her in here. She liked it for awhile but then decided sleeping by her brothers wasn't such a bad idea.
Out like a light again!

Hopefully this night goes better than last night. Chloe barfed all over the bed, her blanket, her pajamas, herself, and pretty much everywhere, so in the middle of the night we were calling housekeeping, doing laundry, bathing Chloe, moving sleeping boys. It was quite the night! Luckily no one else got sick. I think it was from Chloe putting pool water in her mouth and spitting it back out again. So gross! I had to tell her a few times to not do it, but I think after last night she learned her lesson.

We ended up getting stuck in traffic this morning going from Anaheim to San Diego. We thought that by leaving closer to 8:30-9:00 everyone would be at work and the traffic wouldn't be as bad. I guess that's what two Idaho kids get for trying to guess! We had time to talk because the kids were watching a movie and Cody told me how he thinks it's crazy that everywhere we have been to eat has bendy straws instead of the plain old straight ones, lol. The things he notices.
