On Monday our friends Oliver and Liz invited us and a handful of other families to come eat goodies and light fireworks together for FHE on Monday. It also happened to by July 1st, Canada Day, and our other friends who were in Canada at the time were super excited we were "celebrating" Canada Day with them. I'm pretty sure we are not going to live this one down for awhile.
Cody packing Jackson and Chloe back.
I told Chelsea that her and I are already in trouble with these two because they have already started running off together and they are only 2. They were 4-5 houses down before Cody caught up with them.
The "small" group of us that were there.
*This picture stolen from Stevie Croft!! ; )
Jason Beck is in there somewhere!
This picture makes me want to sing, "I wear my sunglasses at night,  So I can, So I can
See the light that's right before my eyes" LOL!
Neon Sparklers! My girlfriend Chelsea told me about these and the kids (and parents) loved them.
Even though it was blistering hot Gavin insisted on wearing his "flame" pajamas to coincide with the fireworks. You can't even tell which one he is in this picture because he blends right in ; )

On the 4th of July we had a long, hot, packed, fun-filled day.
We went to Savannah and Eric's house on 4th street and watched the parade from their front yard with all the cousins.
Gavin and Luke
Grandma Fry bought all the grandkids matching t-shirts.
 Gavin, Mason, Chloe and Savannah
Cadee and Connelly behind in the chairs

I'm sure I'm not the only one who choked up when this went by. I can't even imagine what those families are going through right now and what was going through the minds of all those firefighters the last few minutes of their lives. My heart aches for all of them and they are in my prayers
 A baby camel!

When a John Deere float came by they saw that Cody was wearing a John Deere hat and they threw a handful of candy at him and another guy on a float yelled to Cody, "Made in the USA, alright!!" because Cody's shirt says, "Made in the U.S.A. (with foreign and domestic parts)".

After the parade we went home to have some lunch and headed to Menan for another parade, booth perusing, and pony rides.

 Chloe and Taylor

She plopped right in the stroller when she was done
Mom and dad eating some lunch in the cool shade
Before and after the parade we all soaked our feet in the cool water in the canal, it felt so good!
 Gavin, Grandma, Mason and Madison
Cody, Dad, Mom, Mason, Kenny, Mandy, Keylee, Madison and Gavin
As soon as the parade started Mason threw his hands in the air and was saying, "Give me candy!" He's a quick learner.
Love the truck and the huge Radio Flyer wagon

The boys, meaning the adult men who were suddenly acting like kids in a candy store, were mesmerized by this custom built truck

Ahhh! The only downfall to the Menan parade is it is at 2 o'clock in the afternoon which is the hottest part of the day. We were soaked by a firetruck during the parade so that cooled us off for the most part, but dipping my toes in the water was still really refreshing
Dad trying to push mom in the canal
 Mason, Madisen and Mom

After the parade we headed over to Karen's to talk, relax and have a BBQ
This is how Mason was jumping into the pool. He would get a huge running start and as soon as he got to the pool he flopped in. It was hilarious. The first time he did it I thought for sure he would come up crying, but he was laughing and said, "awesome!"

Mason was pumping air into his mouth. He hadn't had a nap so I guess the thought he was running a little low.

 Mom and Tayvri
We don't mess around when it comes to lighting sparklers
Brigham loved them! I gave him almost and entire box one right after the other and he was sad when they were all gone.
Gavin in one of his favorite shirts that he loves to wear

 Getting ready for some fireworks!
Cody and I bought a big fountain called the "Crazy Lady" but we kept telling everyone it was called "the Karen" after my sister

The Idaho Falls Melalueca Freedom celebration was delayed by an hour because search and rescue were looking for someone in the river so it was just starting when we got back into town. The kids were already asleep but Cody and I drove to Vickers Western Wear because it's up on a hill and watched them from their parking lot. We could still hear them going off and we didn't have to wait in crazy traffic!
This was Chloe the next morning. Crazy hair and still in her t-shirt. She didn't wake up until 11:15am!
