Camping with Beck's

The Beck's invited us to go camping with them and of course we jumped at the chance. We camped up past the Rexburg bench at a spot that was surrounded by trees and even had a built in bench near the fire pit. It was a great spot with great company.
Cody & I with Jason & Jessica
and of course photobombing Gavin!
I know this is a duplicate, but we can't leave out Jason's "duck face"
The kiddos

(Keyara was on a young women's trip)
Mason, Gavin and Chloe
Kids found a "bear cave" which was really just a fallen tree that looked dark in one area because of the branches.
Cody taught all the kids how to shoot his .22
I have to admit I wasn't a big fan of the little's shooting, but they were super excited about it

Gavin was shooting his dad's .22 rifle
He also was shooting Jason's .22 pistol
They went through boxes and boxes of ammo
Mason discovered the blackberries I bought and couldn't get enough of them
Roasting hotdogs with Journey
We went on a hike with the kids. Chloe found an old tennis ball and thought it was the best "treasure" ever.  Mason and Chloe were talking about bears and zombies the entire hike.
Jessica and I had glow sticks on strings (20+) and glow bracelets (20+) and we hung them on the trees along the trail after it was dark and left candy at the end. Then we led the kids on a night hike.  It was so much fun!! We even loved it. Garrett decorated me after we were done.

More shooting the next day
Journey and Chloe
They played with their baby dolls for hours on a blanket we had set up in the shade
The boys took turns riding Journey's toy motorcycle down the hill. We were even timing them to see who could get the best time
Mason
Journey fell asleep on one of the rides
I spy someone peeing on a tree!! LOL
Mason, Chloe and I found a trail that we have since named the "Roller coaster trail". It goes up and down over and over just like a roller coaster. We also saw a HUGE owl. I bet it was almost 2 feet tall with a wingspan of 3-4 feet. It flew from tree to tree stopping for a few seconds so we could see it before it finally flew away. It was so surreal and incredible and majestic. I'm so glad that we were able to witness it.
I know this is just a dirty rotten thistle, but the blossom was so pretty.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but the forest was so pretty up there. So much better than the other side of the mountain were we usually camp.
My riding buddies
Who does this silly kid belong to anyway?
