Christmas Day

Preface: We were at Fry's the night before until 10. By the time we got home and got the kids to bed it was 10:30. Santa came and then we weren't really tired so we decided to stay up and watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation thinking for sure that the kids were going to sleep in because we kept them out so late. We went to bed at 1:30am...the kids woke up 4 short hours later at 5:30am!!! That will teach us!

First some exciting news: IT SNOWED!! A LOT! WE GOT OUR WHITE CHRISTMAS AFTER ALL : )

(Pretend I already uploaded the video of them coming into the living room and seeing what Santa brought here until I really get it done)

Gavin got EXACTLY what he asked for, he was SO EXCITED!
He even asked Santa for $1 million dollars and he found it in his stocking!
Mason didn't even care about his Police Station that he asked Santa for (the first time). He was only interested in the candy in his stocking. He would've been completely happy if that's all we would've gotten him.
Chloe was ecstatic about the chap stick Santa put in her stocking!
Her new ring
Perfectly placed product: "I pood Reese's peanut butter cups" LOL!!

By the time she was done with this it had slobber dripping out the end, blah!
So glad I captured this, it melted my heart. I let the kids pick out gifts for each other at the dollar store. Mason picked out a jump rope for Gavin and this was the reaction. Love my boys!
Mason has been wanting one of these for quite awhile so we finally caved. It's a Minion Fart Blaster and it does just what the title says, it makes farting noises with every pull of the trigger.
Cody picked out this outfit for Chloe. She LOVES it!
My boys with some of their loot
We were going to buy 1 tablet for the kids but ended up finding these for a steal. (We bought 4 for the price we were going to spend on one and they were even approved by our computer geek friend!)
We have been going to take Gavin to Disneyland since he was 5, but life keeps happening and we keep putting it off. We decided that if the kids were involved then we were held accountable and had to go. We got the boys Mickey's and Chloe a Minnie and had the kids open them up at the same time. Mason was the most excited. We are shooting for middle to end of February and can't wait!! Cody is the only one that has ever been.
The secret that I kept from my husband for 2 1/2 months!
This deserves a post of it's own, but for now I will just tell you that he we were so excited!!
Gavin watching How to Train your Dragon 2 with his Minecraft sword. Gavin started crying (SPOILER ALERT!!!) when Hiccups dad died and cried the rest of the movie. When it was over he put it back in the case and said, "I'm never watching that again." That didn't go as expected.

She is into "balancing" lately and will spin around the house or stand on her head singing about it. She's a silly girl.
Putting chap stick on mommy
Chugging candy
We heard something outside and look what we found! Our awesome neighbor Spencer shoveling our driveway on Christmas morning. How awesome is that! Cody put on some boots and went out to help the little stinker
Cody "bringing sexy back"
Annual Tradition: Our house on Christmas Day!!

My brother didn't get his kids until the afternoon so my parents came to all of our houses Christmas morning to see what everyone got and then we all met back at her house at 1:00 for lunch instead of our traditional breakfast
This is what my kids looked like when we got to my mom's, only 15ish minutes away. Waking up at 5:30am kicked their little tushies but I guess they have been up for 7 hours

Karen and I played Santa and sorted the gifts out to everyone and then we all opened them.
Keylee (on the floor), Mandy, Kenny, Taylor and Mason
Chloe had Taylor's name and we weren't sure what to get him so I taped 25 $1 bills together, taped them to the bottom of a box and then to the bottom of a Pepsi so when he pulled the Pepsi out then a trail of bills came out too. It was fun to watch him open it.
Dad, mom, Braxton, Kaitlyn, Megan, Keylee
Cody, Karen, Chase, Chet, Madisen, Erin (hiding behind paper), Bailee, Tayvi, Paul
Taylor had Mason and bought him the BEST GIFT EVER in his eyes. A "humungus bag of suckers!" He was in heaven.
What a fun mess
Chase's 1st Christmas
Braxton, Kaitlyn and Faith
Aren't their hats cute?
Chloe got a new dolly from Grandma and Grandpa
Mason got Dr. Doom and Captain America

Then it was time for "Bury the baby in paper!" Chase got to be the lucky on this year. Next year it's going to be Paul and Erin's new bundle of joy! They had their ultrasound in November but had the tech put it in an envelope and they hung it on their tree and opened it today and found out they are having a
GIRL!!
Paul and Brigham are getting quickly outnumbered.

Back at home the kids played with more of their Christmas gifts AND our friends Zach and Ashley Ward (who moved to Boise in October) stopped by : )

Gavin got a new race track from G&G Blakely for Christmas.  I wouldn't let him set it up there because there were too many little kids and really no where to put it. He couldn't wait to get home and kept asking if it was time to go yet. Usually it's just the opposite but he couldn't wait.

Chloe with her new baby doll
Cody said he wanted to show me something outside and even though it was freezing I followed him. He wanted me to watch him ride his bike. It's like he reverted back to his childhood.
Look at that smile!!
Chloe wanted to show me that she put her baby to sleep. She's going to be a good little mommy one day.
