I really stunk it up this year with my boys birthdays. I didn't end up having a real themed birthday party for either of them and their combined ones were duds as well. It's going to make whatever I do next year seem super awesome.
We just had cake and ice cream at both grandparents and that was it.

Gavin: Really Mason, you have to do this right now?
Mason: It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
(what I imagine going through their heads)
We celebrated with Laken at G&G Blakely's with blurry pictures and left over/half eaten rainbow pony girl cake my sister brought from work (like I said, next year will look REALLY cool to them)
There parties did the essentials: cake, ice cream and presents
