Utah Jazz Game

We got FREE Utah Jazz tickets (Thanks for the hook up mom) and headed to Utah (kid free, thanks for that too mom and dad) to go to the game and see some friends. We left early Saturday morning so that Cody could go to a HUGE car show with our friend Brian and while the boys were there us girls went here:

Zupas Cafe, it was soooo GOOD!

This is what I had. Every meal comes with super delicious bread and a chocolate covered strawberry. I can't remember the name of the panini or the salad that I got, but I couldn't stop eating either of them!!!

After lunch and the car show we headed to the game. As we walked into our portal I got so GIDDY and then as we walked closer and closer to the court I was even more GIDDY! Last time we went to a Jazz game we had the nose bleed of all nose bleed seats. There was NO ONE behind us, we literally had the worst seats in the entire place! Now here we were sitting in seats only 15 rows from the floor! We could hear the players! It was awesome!

Cody and I in our awesome seats!
(Thank you kind random stranger for taking our picture for us!)

Because our tickets were free we didn't feel as bad about getting totally ripped off on the food so we splurged a little...ok, a lot! Before the game was over between the two of us we consumed a jumbo hot dog, a chicken tenders basket, nachos, popcorn, a powerade and a water. It was basically our dinner and ended up being $28 total which is what we would have spent eating out somewhere half decent so I can't complain!

"The Golden Girls"
They were part of the half time show and they were pretty good, more entertaining than anything, but funny. The announcer said you have to be between the ages of 50-94 to be in their group. Combined they have 500 grandchildren, over 1200 great grandchildren and over 200 great great grandchildren. They may have been older, but then could still shake it!!

I remembered in the last minute of the game (before we knew it was going into overtime) that I should probably take a picture or two of the actual game since that is what we were there to see ; )

The final score after overtime. It was a actually a really good game. They stayed pretty close in score the entire game and we spent most of the last few minutes of the 4th quarter and almost all of overtime standing, cheering and almost chewing my nails!

After the game we went back to our friends Brian and Sally. It was so good to see them again and catch up, it's been a long time! We stayed the night at their house (thanks again!) and we headed home Sunday morning in the pouring rain, not even kidding! It rained from Salt Lake to Pocatello and the only time it wasn't a down pour was when we were driving through snow over the Malad pass! Luckily I made it home just in time to change my clothes and go teach my lesson at church!
