Father and Son Campout

My handsome boys headed out to the Father and Son Campout

This ended up being the last camping trip in our camper because we sold it the following weekend.

While the boys were gone Chloe and I decided to do some playing as well. We invited Stevie and Eliza Croft to come with us.

We had dinner at Dixie's Diner. Chloe really wanted chicken nuggets and sprite, but as soon as Lizzy ordered a cheese pizza Chloe wanted the same thing. 

After dinner we went to the Paramount Theater and watched "Home". She had to take her blanket in with her because she was cold and then her and Lizzy wrapped themselves in the blanket again while they were waiting for their snocones.

I let Chloe sleep in my bed with me and she wanted to wear the "eye thingy's". Funny girl. When the boys got home the next morning Chloe and I were still asleep and it was almost 11 am!

I watched the very last David Letterman episode. I haven't watched it in years, but I use to watch him all the time.

Chloe easily solved her problem of 2 strollers and not enough hands, just stack them! She's pretty much a pack rat as well.

On the way to Mason's preschool graduation I looked into the back seat and this is what I found.

Mason likes to sit by me and play with my hair. Shortly after I took this picture he asked me if he could give me a kiss.

I asked Gavin to straighten up his heap of stuffed animals and this is how he did it. He is so particular how things are lined up/stacked up etc.

Gavin stayed with my sister-in-law Sadie and his nephew Lukas while we went to WY to rescue my van. They went to a thrift store and Gavin found this golden plate and just HAD to buy it for me so I could decorate with it. He wanted me to have a "golden plate". He even put it up on my shelf for me when we got home.

My little younger brother and I on his birthday. He's 34 this year, but I'm not sure how that really works since I'm only 29! ; )

Cody bought me 2 diamond bands to surround my wedding ring for our 13th anniversary!! I really have some bling now!

Mason's hamster got out while I was in San Antonio and Chloe's hamster died shortly afterwards from loneliness maybe?

We had a mouse infestation in our chicken coop so I became a self proclaimed "mouse trapper".

Gavin:
Has been reading Harry Potter like crazy! He is now on book 3.
He had his first pinewood derby and did really well. He took 2nd in the wolf den and second overall 

Mason:
 Had a check up with the dentist and had 9, yes 9 cavities!! He didn't have any 6 months ago, but since then Cody had been in charge of the tooth brushing since he was laid off work so I'm assuming teeth were not getting brushed at all on the days that I worked, naughty daddy!

Chloe:

Mason's Surprise!

Mason and Chloe went with Papa Moose and Grandma Bonnie to Palisades Lake for the weekend so we could get our van. Gavin wanted to play with Luke instead so he stayed behind. They sent us pictures through out the weekend.

Bonnie told me that Mason had a surprise for me. I thought maybe he had picked me some flowers, found me a pretty rock or even a bug, but it was even better!

He caught his own fish! A lake trout.

Rescuing Van Dam

 We were up at 6:30 am on a Saturday and on the road by 8:00am. We were headed to Riverton, WY to get the van, but had to be back a little after 5pm for my niece's dance recital. 

 I didn't even dry my hair before we left so we could make good time. Instead I hung my head out the window to air dry it

 Look familiar? I did this same exact thing 2 weeks ago

 We made it to Riverton at 1, and hour past when we hoped to be there.  The dealership had called Friday and told us the van was done. We told them we would be there Saturday by noon and our van wasn't even there when we arrived. It was at their other dealership getting an alignment. We didn't get out of Riverton until 2pm and then we got stuck behind this guy going 30 and we couldn't even pass him! This never happens when you are not in a hurry.

This picture was ridiculous to take. We were trying to get ourselves and the Tetons, but every time we would get on, the other one was cut off or we had the wrong mountain. We looked like a couple of yahoo's, taking selfies is definitely not our thing. 

At this point it was 4pm, we were over 2 hours from home, hadn't eaten a real meal all day and finally conceded that we weren't going to make it to the recital after all despite our best efforts. We headed to Jackson Hole to eat and while we were walking around trying to decide where to eat we found this!

 Yep, a rabbit fur bikini or possibly a bra and panty set?!?! We actually were not really sure, but it was hilarious. They also had a man's version next to it and wish I wouldn't gotten a picture.

After dinner we headed home only to get caught in a monsoon/hurricane/craziness driving over Pine Creek pass. The rain was coming down in sheets and there was so much of it that it couldn't run off the road fast enough so the (sloped) road was soaking wet, the wind was blowing my van every where, limbs were blowing off trees and onto the road and the rocks were rolling with the mud off the side of the mountain and into the borrow pit on the side of the road. Cody was behind me in his truck and he had to dodge a huge branch that had blown/fallen onto the road after I had been past it. It was complete craziness!!

 We stopped at Rainey Creek and celebrated us surviving the pass with square ice cream cones. We got back into town around 8pm and picked Gavin up. He was playing with his cousin Luke all day. Bedtime was a breeze with only 1 kid! Mason and Chloe were with G&G until the next day. 

Here are a few more pics. Wyoming, at least the western side, it a lot prettier than I thought it would be. All of these were taken while driving (again to try and save time) so they aren't the best, but here you go anyway:
