I took Gavin to get his new scout shirt,
I sewed the patches on for him,
Daddy got him ready,
Daddy taught him how to salute in his scout shirt,
We took a picture,
Then another picture at the church,
And then all of the sudden he was a Cub Scout helping his mom set up chairs and clean the floors for pack meeting.
He jumped right in! He helped with the flag ceremony,
Did the obstacle course with the other scouts
and helped lead us in the cheers when the other scouts got their awards. He said, "Great, Great, Great" while pretending to "great/grate" cheese. We were so proud of him for stepping right up and being willing to help.
A week later he had his first den meeting and since I am his leader I get to take pictures of what he does. We learned about different disabilities. They had to draw pictures and play games blindfolded, tie their shoes while wearing gloves, and do other things like that.
