After 9 days, 7 destinations, 5 states, 4 hotels and 2,450.02 miles we made it home safe and sound. We saw the world's largest thermometer, found out what aliens do with all the cows they abduct and had lots of good, quality family time.
Our last day:
We ate breakfast. Mason had his usual Fruit Loops and Gavin made pancakes with a pancake machine they had at the hotel. He loves hotel breakfasts that you get to build your own food.
Then we stopped at the Sketchers store for my mom and headed for home. We stopped in St. George to eat at a Mexican resturarunt called Durango's. I "know" (through blogging and instagram) the family that owns it and wanted to try it out. We I ended up driving over a mountain pass, at night, in a blizzard in Utah. It was exhausting and I was ready to pull over and stay in the nearest town, but by the time we got to one the snow had stopped.
We ended up at a gas station filling up and bought "dinner". I let the kids pick out whatever they wanted. This is what they ended up with:
Cody: Huge Mountain Dew and a king size Reese's
Me: Huge Mountain Dew and peanut M&M's
Gavin: Gatorade and a king size KitKat
Mason: Hog Wash and Teddy Graham's
Chloe: Hog Wash and Peach Rings
The dinner of champions right?!?
The following Monday we pulled out all of our shells and they still smelled like the ocean. We compared them all and then Cody and I sorted ours out and let the kids have most of them.
Gavin's Shells
Mason's Shells
Chloe's shells
Cody and I's shells
Then this showed up:
The best part is that Cody got the violation, but I was the one driving!!
