Gingerbread Houses

Chloe and I went to Winco to shop their bulk food section for candy and we ended up going a little a lot over board! We invited our friends the Beck's over and had a super sugary and fun time.

Festival of Lights

For the first time this year they had a Festival of Lights at Freeman Park. It was a fun family night out. They had they whole park lit up with bears climbing trees looking for honey, fire breathing dragons, penguins, elves, moose, deer, elk, Santa's house, etc.

The kids got to visit with Santa again and thankfully didn't change their minds about what they wanted.

 Halfway through the park they were able to visit with Santa, warm up by the fire, drink hot cocoa and we even went on a horse drawn carriage ride. We ended having it all to ourselves and the boys thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Denning Christmas Party

Papa Moose and Grandma Bonnie invited us to their Christmas party. We thought we knew where we were going, parked and walked in. We didn't really recognize anyone, but figured they were in the gym. We hung our coats up, the boys were already playing basketball when we walked into the cultural hall and realized we really didn't know ANYONE. We discreetly gathered the kids on and went back out to the foyer to make a phone call only to realize we really were in the wrong place. We had just almost crashed someone's ward Christmas party!!!

We finally made it to the right church and the kids got to visit with Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. 

Santa told Chloe that her tights were "very festive".

Midnight Madness

It's always so fun to see ordinary things decorated in Christmas lights coming down the street.

We had hot cocoa to keep us warm because it can never be warm during Midnight Madness

We all lined up and took our turns at the Turkey Bowl.

 

Gavin and Mason were both able to get strikes.

 This ended up blurry, but this is mom reclaiming her dignity and beating me at the Turkey Bowl. Last time I beat her, but this year (with the help of the Broulim's employees who spread my pins far apart) my mom won.
