Mason's Team
Gavin's Team
Coach: Craig Palmer
Gavin is in his 4th year of basketball and this year he gets to play full court, shoot foul shots and all things grown up. He was pretty timid when he first got out there playing but then he made 2 shots in a row, "That's my boy!", and then he was back into his groove.
Mason's 1st season!
Mason has never played basketball today except for a few times in the driveway, but he really wanted to play basketball like Gavin so we signed him up. He was also super excited to have his own pair of basketball shoes. On the way home he wanted to take them out of the box so he could just hold them and look at them. He told me that his new shoes make him run super fast!
His coach was really good with him and taught him how to hold the ball and shoot the basket. Gavin was right there helping and coaching him along too, it was too cute.
He looks tiny out there
He started doing this in line and all the other kids started copying him
He's "firsty"
He does pretty good at dribbling even though he's never played basketball before
The boys both ended up with the same color shirts this year. Mason loves it because people think that he's on Gavin's team so he gets extra treats at the end of brothers game.
Mason's turn to sit out
Mason motioned for Chloe to come warm up with him. He put her in front and gave her his basketball. The coach treated her like a team member, it was pretty cute to watch. Mason was so proud to include his sister.
Gavin loves his long bright socks he picked out and every game someone else on his team has a pair. Kids are so funny.
Mason's favorite part of the game, TREATS!!
Mason decided he didn't want to play in the middle of his game so he just stood there in the middle of the court with his arms folded and didn't budge. What a stinker!!
Chloe cheering for her brother's even though she was wearing the opposing teams colors
