Starting to look a lot like Christmas!

Chloe wanted to help me decorate for Christmas. Halfway through we got a little distracted with the Santa hats. Chloe wanted to wear the stocking instead of a had, but it didn't matter because everything is so cute on her.

We look borderline creepy in this one!

I have been excited to have a mantle for my stockings, but once I put them up, it wasn't really working. The stocking holders were too tall and blocked the TV and I was also worried about the stocking starting on fire so I decided to move them.
I moved them over to the shelf above the piano and they fit perfectly.
I redecorated the mantle with other things. It was a little weird decorating my new house. I would get it out of the bin and know exactly where it was suppose to go in my old house and then would have to figure out where to put it in my new house. I also realized that I don't have as many decorations as I thought I did. I have so much more room now.
I finally have a banister to decorate and my nutcrackers have a new home.
My pillow that I forgot I bought last year after Christmas on clearance, it was a fun surprise.
My Christmas rug and the kids trees. We are going to have to upgrade to larger trees in the next few years because they are getting so full.

I even decorated this guy!!
We are waiting until we get back from Cancun to get our Christmas tree because we don't have to worry about it dying while we are gone or b

Turkey Day 2016

We hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house and it was so fun! We had a houseful of guests and lots of yummy food. I just love having the extra room. I feel so blessed to be in this house so we can have get togethers without having to play sardines. Another great bonus to having Thanksgiving here is we have lots of leftovers!

I was trying to document our first Thanksgiving here and I ended up cutting off heads...
...and then by the time I figured it out no one was looking anymore.
Chloe was helping us in the kitchen and got a little boo boo

1st Annual Ugly Sweater Party

I have been wanting to have an Ugly Sweater Party for years, but never felt like I have enough room in our old house. I was so excited to FINALLY be able to have one this year!
All of us in our UGLY glory!!!
The poster I hung up outside
The kids helped me decorate the back of the voting ballets. They turned out so cute.
The profile of Cody's ugly sweater that I made him
The Trophy of Awesomeness!!
I made it myself and it's so UGLY!
The "Most Tacky" trophy.
I even left the tag from the DI on it to add to the tackiness.
Lindsey and Jason Allen
Karen and Chet Cawley
Juan and Camille Pardo
Teri and Cody
We decided at the last minute to have the deer's butt on the front of the sweater
Stevie and Nick Croft
Steve and Amanda Mickelsen

We ate first and then played 10 fun and hilarious games. I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time.

I know this is blurry, but Karen's expression cracks me up. I had to include this.

Cody was the only one who ended up on his knees to play this game. Leave it to him to be the weird odd man out!!
The award for the Ugliest Sweater went to Chet.
(If you lift up the deer's tail you can see his anus and more poop coming out of it)

He also scored the most points during the games and won the silk granny panties that said "Git 'er Done" on the back of them.
Nick won the "Tackiest Sweater" award

I'm so excited to make this an annual tradition :)
