Wild Adventure Corn Maze

We stopped here on the way home from Utah and it was a BLAST!! I look forward to this every year and so do the kids.
As soon as we walked into the maze the kids took off running, they were so excited.
They had to find all 6 animal prints hidden through out the maze
(There are 3 separate mazes and we did the smallest one)
They found all 6 of them this year
 So exciting!!!
Neither of us knew the other was pulling this face until after we took the picture which made it even more funny.
Our view most of the maze. Chloe's little legs and her clumsiness couldn't quite keep up
Mason wasn't a fan of the slides, he went down once and was done, but he did manage to sneak off and ride the train all by himself when we thought he was in the jump house playing. Naughty boy!

"Mom look at me" as she clung to the side and stuck her tongue out

 Gavin and Mason
Gavin was so cute with Chloe. He helped her up all the big bales and then went down first and would catch Chloe when she came out. He is such a good big brother. It melts my heart.

(I dropped my camera in the dirt and didn't realize I had dirt on the lens)
Gavin started rolling when he came out of the slide, he was such a dirty, sweaty straw covered mess by the time he was done.

This was a blast this year and I was sad when it was time to go. The kids are getting old enough now they can handle stuff like this without fits, getting to tired, etc. We are definitely going to make it one more time this year.

When we were leaving I was showing the kids the big dipper. Chloe and I saw a shooting star. I pointed it out to her and she asked me, "Is it going to shoot us?"

I asked the kids what their favorite part was and these are the responses I got:
Gavin- I have 3 favorite parts; the corn maze, tractor ride and the slides
Mason - My favorite part was all of it!
Chloe - I'm scared of the dark mommy (she wanted us to turn on all the interior lights in the van)

Also:
Mason- Mom I want a new name
Me- What do you want it to be?
Mason - Ninja Turtle

Fry Family Reunion 2014

We headed to Brigham City, Utah for the annual Fry Family Reunion on Saturday the 20th. It was at Rees Pioneer Park. The kids had fun exploring all of it.

We wandered the park picking up round spiky balls (seeds from the trees). It was like a mini treasure hunt and she loved it.
 Gavin aka Ham Face
I don't know why he thinks this is so funny, but he has done this multiple times..l.weirdo ; )
I put him in time out for being a complete whiny, sassy, fit throwing brat. I pulled my phone out for something to do while I waited for his 4 minutes to be up and he immediately changed his pouty frown into a smile. How can you be mad at this kid?

Nap Time!
Chloe, Mason and Gavin

We took the kids over to see the Brigham City temple before we left.
As soon as we got there Mason yelled very loudly, "Hi Angel!" When he saw Angel Moroni. There was a couple there right by us that heard him and laughed as they walked by. Later we were walking past some stairs that led to the basement and Chloe asked me, "Is Jesus down there?" That same couple that heard Mason heard what Chloe said too. I'm sure they were very entertained by us.
 Chloe, Mason and Gavin
Not sure if Gavin's face is red from running around and playing or if he's having an allergic reaction to all the ham he put on his face, but either way at least he is smiling and not pulling faces.

 The Box Elder Tabernacle
Cody showing the kids the pepper plants. They were all over the temple grounds.
On the way home we had to stop for a potty break and look what we found! I haven't seen one of these in real life for ages. The kids all wanted to push buttons, listen to the dial tone (Gavin asked what a dial tone was) and wondered why the phone was stuck to the box. We probably looked like a bunch of weirdos playing with the pay phone, but who knows if we will ever see one again and I wanted my kids to experience it. We should've called someone, what were we thinking? This of course led us into breaking into song, "I'm at a payphone trying to call home all of my change I've spent on you..." We love Maroon 5!!

Let's Jam!

My mom and I ready to get out jam on!
My mom and I turned raspberries, huckleberries and some lemon zest into...
chili? Not really, but that's what it looked like.

I put Kaitlyn and Faith in charge of zesting lemons. Faith grated her own finger towards the end, luckily I had just emptied her bowl of zest.
  I also had an accident
(not really, it's raspberry juice)
Our raspberry huckleberry jam : )

Mason kept building airplanes and would bring them into the kitchen to show me
My mom and dad's pumpkins! Their garden did awesome this year.
Mason has also started growing a mustache and goatee
 Jumping the ditch

After we were done with jam my dad and brother built a big bon fire and we roasted hot dogs and ate outside. It was a much needed long, family-filled day.

Sisters Van Gogh

My sister and I had what I have dubbed a SNO (Sisters Night Out). We went to a little place called The Grape Van Gogh. You pay a fee and you they supply you with the canvas, brushes, paint and a mason jar of water, not for drinking. However I was really tempted to ask them for some ice just to see what they would say, but decided against it since I was going to be with them for next couple of hours.
They had a finished painting on display and the instructor painted a second one a long with us. I have to say mine turned out a lot better than I thought it would having never painted before.
Karen and I's finished paintings.  My "rain" didn't quite turn out like I wanted and my umbrella wasn't as red as I would have like and Karen's ladies legs are way sexier than mine. I finally just gave up and turned my ladies legs into boots.
We each took a picture of each other to prove to our doubting spouses that we really painted this and just didn't go shopping.

The following pictures were taken by the people at The Grape Van Gogh

I LOVE this picture. It makes me laugh everytime I see it because it looks like Karen is
copying my painting/cheating and I get to tease her about it.

It was fun to see all the variations at the end even though we were painting the same thing. People added red and yellow boots, different dress lengths, different hair styles, painted their umbrellas yellow, purple and pink and even exchanged the man for a little boy.
