Life of Fry

Fat FRYday in the backyard brought to you by Oreo's
We tried the Reese's and Key Lime Pie flavored but nothing beats a plain old regular flavored Oreo
This is what an egg looks like when it doesn't have the hard outer shell. This is the second time we have had this happen. The first time was the day after our neighbors Yorkie's got into our chicken coop and was terrorizing our chicken's and the second day was the 5th of July after all the fireworks. We figured we have a skiddish chicken that had the eggs scared out of her before she had time to put a hard shell on it
I bought the kids these beads and they have been playing with them practically everyday for hours which is pretty amazing because my kids aren't really the type to do anything for long periods of time.  The neighbor kids love them as well and will come over and do them with the kids.
These are some of them the kids made the first night. I made the ninja turtle for the boys and the Miami Dolphin colored football for Cody.
I accidentally burned some chocolate chip cookies but Mason quickly found another use for them.
For Mason's date night he requested pizza, root beer, ice cream and mom.
Mommy and Masonater
Me getting germs on him. He is such a germ-a-phoebe.
Jason and Cody
These two are out in the cul-de-sac or on the sidewalk at least 3 times a week talking about anything and everything. Journey was in the stroller but I stole her and was holding her.

"Mom, take pictures of me" - Chloe

Giving her baby bunny ears. She's a silly girl.
Gavin and Journey (with Jason and Cody talking in the background as usual)
All of the kids were over doing beads so I gave Journey a bowl of Jello...what.a.mess! It's a good thing she was only in a diaper for easy clean up
I walked into the living room and discovered Mason in butterfly wings and spider man pajamas getting his leg painted with fingernail polish (the kid kind) by Chloe who had her pajamas on backwards.
Then they asked to paint mine
My cute little viking
Fat FRYday at Reed's Dairy
Mason made a new friend
This is what he thought about us not sharing our ice cream with him. LOL! Have you ever seen a donkey stick his tongue out like this before?!?
Jason decorated Mason with his ninja turtle stickers. They are everywhere.
You're not suppose to take pictures in the chapel, but technically we are in the overflow, you can't see the chapel and this was too cute to not take a picture of. A few seconds before she was holding the book up all by herself for Cody, but I took too long to get my phone out of the bag and missed it.
Gavin found a baby bird that fell out of the pine tree in our front yard. He knows he's not suppose to touch them so he put on a glove. He really loves animals.
We watched the Women's World Cup Soccer Championship, the first televised soccer game I have ever watched in my life, but a friend Nikki Schwemmer said it would be worth it. It was actually pretty fun to watch. Chloe had her supplies of cotton candy, M&M's and her puppy so she was good to go as well.
Chloe "helping" daddy with his truck. Cody has always been a do it yourself kind of guy so he changed his oil in his truck himself, big mistake. It made the biggest mess. He said next time he's hiring out. These newer trucks just aren't like the old ones. ; )

Goodbye Kit

We bought a newer and bigger (3/4 ton instead of a 1/2 ton) truck for Cody which meant we could finally buy a bigger camper that actually has sleeping room for all of us without having to take down my table. We used the money from his old truck to buy us a newer camper, but we had to say goodbye to "Kit" our old camper first. I took some pictures for the memories.
Kit was a 19 footer
This is with Gavin's bunk up
and his bunk down.
The kitchen
We never used the table because we always had it folded down because we needed somewhere for Mason and Chloe to sleep.
I always teased Cody that we could keep the camper now because it was so old the colors were coming back in. It was built in 1969.

We sold it to an older couple that are going to park it in Mackay and use it as their "cabin". Goodbye old boy, we had lots of memories with you.

Coming soon:

Rigby Lake

My Seesters!!
And here's another one because we are just so cute ; )

Gavin headed to the slide first thing
While he was out there another kid kicked our turtle off the dock so Gavin started swimming after it. I tried yelling for him to just let it go, but he didn't hear me. I jumped on our chair floatie and went after him. He finally heard me, but by then he was out in the middle of the lake. I was terrified. He had his life jacket on, but all these thoughts of it malfunctioning or coming off etc. were running through my mind as I paddled as fast as I could out to him.
He was upset when I got to him. He still had his flip flops on and was frustrated because they were slowing him down so he couldn't catch the turtle and I'm pretty sure he was tired by then because he had just swam a long way.
I got his shoes off him, put them on my feet and had him hang on to the chair and I paddled us to the island. I nicely told him to just let the turtle go next time because he was more important than a floatie. He was just worried that it would get lost or stolen and he knew how much I liked it. So sweet, but floaties are replaceable and my babies aren't.
In the meantime Chet my bro in law swam from the island to rescue our turtle for us. He said it reminded him that he's not a kid anymore because it really wore him out!
Chase adores Mason and I love watching these two together.
Uncle Paul playing in the sand with the kids

How about some seafood! Life as a mom of boys is always interesting and sometimes gross

4th of July

We went to the Idaho Falls Parade with the Fry Family
Fry cousins
Chloe and Aunt Sadie
Evan and Paisley
I love everyone in Red, White and Blue
Mason was super happy to be posing for a picture
I tried again later at the in laws, but not much changed
I promised them if they smiled good I wouldn't make them pose again all day, it did the trick : )
The boys were so excited about the pirate ship
My neighbor Jason and his son Garrett came prepared this year with their water guns
If one of the floats sprayed them, they got them back. It was so fun to watch and made the parade fun.
Liza from KLCE (local radio station) loves babies. This is the second year in a row she has picked Paisley out of the crowd and snuggled her.

The boys loved this one!
John Wayne's Limo from 1966

When a group of cheerleaders came by I heard Gavin say to his cousin "That girl has a bubble butt". I was blown away first of all that he knew what a bubble butt was and secondly that he was even looking! He's only 8 and it's already begun. I asked him about it and he acted a little embarrassed that I had heard him.

After the parade we went to my in laws for a BBQ then headed to my sister's house for her 4th of July extravaganza. (That's a fun word to say). We had more delicious food like:
A yummy chunky baby Laken
Firework cupcakes
and red, white (sort of) and blue jello that I will never make again because it took me all.day.long!! So not worth it for jello!!
We had fun playing on this too. I can't even tell you how many times I went down it. It made me feel like a kid again, at least until I slipped on the tarp and about broke my hip!
Headfirst for Mason

Madi and Gavin playing with a solar powered grasshopper

Tayvri and Karen

Gavin and his buddy

Gavin wasn't feeling well for part of the afternoon. I had him resting on the couch and asked him if I could get him anything and all he requested was that Karen's golden retrieved Buddy come and sit by him. He loves animals.
Gavin and Jesper would take turns donkey kicking the slide and knocking the other one off

The girlies playing
Someone else's shoes and a bag of chips = Happy Girl
Jade (my sister's dog) is getting old and had to have some teeth removed and now her tongue won't stay in her mouth. You can't help but laugh at her.

Tayvri

We were there all afternoon and into the evening.

 Brigham, Gavin and Madisen
We did smoke bombs before it got dark and Gavin was teaching Brigham how to light them. He is so sweet with him and likes to teach him how to do big boy stuff.

Everyone brought fireworks and we lit them off. One of the ground blooms went a little crazy and bounced onto the blanket that the majority of the kids were on. Luckily no one was hurt except my sister's blanket thanks to some quick acting adults.
