Geese Take Two

My kids think that we have to go see the ducks and geese at the river after every time we go visit dad at work, whatever makes them happy.

Behind the Scenes

In Idaho shorts with a coat is acceptable biking attire
 Chloe snuggling with her "baby"
I read A LOT of books every day. These are the ones that I am reading the most right now.

Now for a Behind the Scenes Update:

Cody has been home a full month now and it has been a harder adjustment that I expected. Don't get me wrong I LOVE having him home, but it's still hard. When it was just me with three kids I had a routine mostly out of necessity for my sanity! Cody is not a routine person. Also I made rules and Cody is not so good at enforcing them because he feels like he wasn't apart of making them even though we talked about it, so we are working on that. We have also realized how different our parenting styles can be. When is was just Gavin it wasn't as noticeable and he left shortly after we got Mason and Chloe so we really haven't been parents together with three kids, but we are figuring it all out.

I was released from the Relief Society Presidency as the second counselor and got two callings to replace it. Liz and I were put in charge of the food for the Relief Society Activities that are once a month and my second calling is.....wait for it......SCOUTS!!! I always told Cody if I ever got called to scouts we were moving! I know very little about scouts and when they asked me (I could have said no) to be the Wolf Den Leader I just gave him a blank stare and Cody nudged me and said, "that's scouts honey". Oh my!! I don't know what I have gotten myself into being in charge of 8-10 eight year olds, but I guess time will tell!

I am officially on the PTO Board...why do I not say no to people? It will be good to be more involved with the school

I also joined a book club which I have never done in my life but am excited to be in. I've always secretly wanted to be in one so when I was asked I said "yes"!

Gavin graduates from Kindergarten...tomorrow!! Where did that year go? He still has to go to school until Friday, so does that mean he's in first grade? haha Couldn't resist

He also starts T-Ball next Wednesday and is on a team with his cousins and kids from the neighborhood. My niece Savannah is his coach this year.

I have my first coed Softball game on Wednesday. Now that Cody is home I can do more because I don't have to hire a babysitter every single time I want to do something. It's mostly family so I will be playing with mostly cousins which is a bonus, family time and softball. : )

Gavin has lost 3 teeth in the past couple of months and has ANOTHER loose one!

Mason FINALLY pooped in the toilet today! He has been potty trained for months but still crapping his pants. I hope this wasn't a fluke and he really has the concept now. He all the sudden seems so grown up! Time is flying by.

Chloe is getting an attitude! I don't know how else to say it. If she doesn't like something she lets you know it, but she is so stinking cute and sweet the rest of the time you can't help but love her.

Pet Count: 5
1 dog: Chocolate Lab named Cocoa
1 tarantula: Fireball
2 bunnies: Fluffy Joe Fry and Spotty Keith Fry
(still separated so we don't end up with a bunny farm)
1 fish: a beta that Chloe named "Food"

Tammy is 40!!

One of my GROOVY and FABULOUS friends turned 40 on Saturday so we surprised her on Friday with a girls night out. Her girlfriend Heather brought her up to Rexburg where we were already waiting in a booth (at Wingers) with our faces behind menus.  We were so excited and giddy waiting for her we almost couldn't stand it. When she walked up we put down the menus and yelled "Surprise!!" It was so much fun and she was so excited and truly surprised. : ) From there things got pretty crazy, well as crazy as a bunch of Mormon moms can get anyway.

Mother's Day

Annual Mother's Day Photo 2013
We took some inside and outside and didn't have very much luck with any of them.
At this point I just gave up. I guess I have a picture with all 3 of my amazing kids and that's all that matters!

I have Gavin fill one of these out every year and next year I think I will have Mason start doing them too.  I always chuckle at some of the answers he puts. For example: I hate wearing dresses, I can't remember the last time I had toast and I don't work at the hospital but I guess he hears me tell people I work for Madison Memorial Hospital and omitted the part where I work at the Surgical Center.
My trip of choice would be Utah? I guess we have been talking about Hogle Zoo a little to much. At least I'm taking my clothes and I'm super excited about the Barbie toyhouse!! I have no idea where that came from because we don't even have a single Barbie in this house right now.  I can't wait to look back at all of these in years to come and giggle at the answers.

Naughty List

My kids are on the naughty list once again!!
I was downstairs in my room reading my book for book club. I could hear them upstairs having a ball but I remember thinking to myself "They can't hurt anything...there's nothing for them to get into...Gavin's up there." Boy was I wrong...again. I cannot leave these monkeys unsupervised!

Gavin got my camera out of my purse and these are two of the many pictures that he took
Mason and Chloe with binky's in their mouths from who knows where. They were Chloe's at one point, but where they found them is a mystery.
 Gavin enjoys taking "selfies"
See those pretty little colorful dots that are EVERYWHERE? Those are jelly beans!! According to Gavin: Mason and Chloe were having a jelly bean fight and they were throwing them at me so I couldn't get downstairs to tell you. (Sure Gavin whatever you say)
I found them under couch cushions, under the furniture, on the entertainment center, on my shelf, in shoes, literally everywhere you can think of. I was still finding them a few days later. I grabbed the gallon size baggie that they were in and made the kids pick them all up by themselves. They must have sensed that I was not very happy with them because all  three of them did it without complaining.

Life...

Mason had another bloody nose* and this is how daddy fixed it for him

*He gets them really easy (bumps it, picks his nose, etc.) but the Pediatrician said not to worry about it
 Cocoa
Gavin was helping me make brownies to try out our new Kitchen Aid mixer (so excited!!!). He put on the oven mitts so he could take the brownies out of the oven, with supervision of course, when they were done. He fell asleep while waiting for them to bake.
Look at that cute little face! Cute little nose, long eyelashes, sun kissed cheeks and brownie batter from licking the beater. : )
I checked on Chloe because she was napping an extra long time
 Finally waking up
Nice shoes lady!!
Playing in the pool at Chelsea's
Mason kept shooting me with this but he didn't know how to fill it up so I never got wet
 Jackson inspecting his strawberry
We were power washing all the toys, etc in the back yard to get the winter gunk off and Cody was making a big mist ball for Gavin to run through. He was loving it.
 My soaking wet toothless kid.

He has another loose tooth and I told him if he didn't stop it he was going to be eating baby food for the next few months until his teeth came back.

Field Trip

The Kindergartener's went to Tautphus Park Zoo for their end of they year field trip and I got to go with them.
These two were a couple of cheese balls! They would find somewhere to pose and then beg me to take a picture.
A crane laid an egg while we were there and I was leaning close to see better and the daddy crane squawked and nipped at me. I didn't see him and it scared me so bad I screamed and the boys were laughing so hard and then wanted me to do it again.

The baby Zebra- two weeks old
Raylee, Gavin, Canyon, Sam, Rose (in front), ?, ?, ?
This penguin was swimming right up to the boys and then it started to show off
We were there at feeding time which is always fun to watch
This is a pheasant of some kind, so pretty.
Gavin was looking for the peacocks everywhere the entire time we were there, they aren't in cages they just wander the zoo, and as we were leaving we found one of them.

Chelsea, Tammy and I rode together and were going to take the boys home with us but they all wanted to ride the bus back, silly boys.
