First Day of Kindergarten

First Day of Kindergarten Interview

Gavin was awake and reading his "Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!" book on the couch when I got up.
We rarely eat cold cereal, but I found this on clearance the other day and thought it would be fun for Gavin since he loves Spiderman. He liked the box, but hated the cereal (no wonder it was on clearance).
I traded him for my Honey Bunches of Oats and he downed it. I on the other hand tried to eat his bowl of cereal and couldn't, it was way to sugary. I should be grateful that he likes the healthier stuff too.
Can't believe he is old enough for Kindergarten!
He LOVES his new shoes. He picked them out all by himself and said that they make him run so fast that he is "a blur"! He wanted to wear his Skylander shirt, but it was MIA! Seriously we looked everywhere! We think it may have gotten left at a friends house. He settled for Sonic the Hedgehog instead.
He didn't want to hold his sign so he tucked it in his backpack straps
Standing in line with his buddy Jack from T-Ball. Mason wanted to go to school too, sorry buddy you have 3 more years!

Gavin didn't want me to go in his classroom with him. : (  He told me that he didn't need me anymore, talk about a dagger to my Mama Heart!! I let him go in and get sat down and then I went in got a picture and left. I don't think he was very happy that mommy was in there with him, but I needed to be just to make sure my baby was good....OK not really, I knew he was fine, it was just to make me feel better!

P.S. I didn't CRY!! I did tear up a little (when he said he didn't want me to go in with him), but no crying, not even when I got home. He was excited so I'm excited for him.

After Kindergarten we met him at the school and he came running to me and gave me a BIG hug (which removed the dagger from my heart).  He said "it was a good day". When I asked him what he did today he told me he couldn't remember, silly guy. We headed home, but he was pretty upset because I didn't bring the van. He said it was too far to walk, that it made his legs hurt. He kept stopping where the grass was shaded and "resting his legs". (He's never been lazy, ever! Must have just been the big day at school). It was taking us forever to get home stopping every few minutes, but luckily Chelsea saved the day and picked us up to go to Artic Circle to celebrate the first day! Yeah for Chelsea ; )

Harvest Time

Gavin loves combines and gets all excited whenever he see's one. When we can I pull over and let him watch them cut the wheat. We watched this one go up and back a couple of times.
The shadow to the left of Gavin is one of the farmer's. He stopped by in his truck and asked Gavin if he wanted to go for a ride and then the guy in the combine (the brother of the other farmer) waved at Gavin and then patted the seat next to him. I thought for sure he would want to, but he kept telling all three of us "no" even after I reassured him it was OK. They even offered to give him a ride on the tractor, but he didn't want to do that either, he just wanted to go to Grandma's.

I guess I should be glad that he didn't want to ride with a stranger, but I think he would have really enjoyed it. Maybe next time.

Back to School Night

Gavin has been so excited for Kindergarten and counting the days since Kindergarten round up back in March. After that he told me he was too big for Preschool, but I still made him go the last two months.

They were handing out Creamies by the playground when everyone was done. Later he told me he couldn't wait to go to school and have ice cream everyday! Ha! Ha! I had to explain to him that it was a one time deal and there wouldn't be ice cream out there.

Waite Week

The Waite's came back to Idaho to visit all their Idaho friends and we totally took advantage of it. We did something everyday, sometimes twice a day. Here's the run down:

Monday: FHE @ Twin Bridges
The kids played in the water while Chelsea stressed out, we ate yummy food, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and just talked and laughed with each other.

Chloe was using the shovel to dump sand in her hair, it was EVERYWHERE!! When we got home I had to brush the sand off her head, then rinsed her off before I filled the tub and there was still sand in the bottom of it when I got her out.

Cheeeese Balls!! I just want a cheese ball!!
I put Chloe in her car seat and hear sand running and noticed it was coming out of her shoes. This is how much sand was still left in her shoes after I took them off!!

More Life

 Reading Skippy Jon Jones
Gavin loves this book but it requires a pretty good Spanish accent
so we wait until daddy is home because he is the best!
So sweet! I love these guys.
Mason & Chloe want nothing to do with anything in the church bag on Sunday's
but I can't manage to keep them out of it the rest of the week, uggg! I give up!

Gavin picked his clothes out for the next day and layed them out on the couch. The part that cracked me up was that he even picked out clean underwear and put them inside his shorts! What a kid
Mason literally flying off the slide!

Teagan and Gavin having their own private water fight

 Good to the last drop

Motorcross

My brother Kenny with his kids Faith & Taylor
Faith and Taylor won 3rd place and Kenny got first.
All of their trophies cover their entertainment center now
All geared up
I have never been to watch them race before. It was so much fun to watch them, but at the same time so scary! Especially watching my brother!
Who needs an airplane when you have a dirt bike?

Kenny is the green bike on the left
Him and this other guy were neck to neck almost the entire race
Go #5!

More scary jumping!

My 9 year old niece Faith

She had an ear infection and wasn't feeling well, but she still went out there and raced twice and placed both times!! I'm so proud of her, of all of them.
