Blue Pancakes and Green Poop

Gavin has been wanting colored pancakes since I turned them green on  St. Patrick's Day so today I let him pick a different color, he chose blue. I thought they were pretty awesome looking so we took a picture to send to daddy.
What I didn't think about was that I have two kids in diapers and what the blue dye would do to the contents of the diapers (or lack of contents). Somehow Mason managed to get his diaper off while wearing his pajamas and stuff it down the leg, then he decided to leave me the remnants of his BLUE pancakes.

WARNING: This may be TMI!! Continue reading/looking at your own risk!!

When I unzipped his pj's I was in disbelief. Had I really not put a diaper on him? Then I realized that it was just stuffed down the leg. I immediately zipped him back up and called Cody (like he was really going to be able to do anything, but I just needed time to figure out exactly how I was going to tackle the situation).
Incredible Hulk Poop
Look how the poop is nestled so nicely on the edge of his diaper.
Great news!! The inside of the diaper is still clean!!

I donned some rubber gloves, wiped him off the best I could with wipe's,  put him in the bathtub and went to scrubbing. The diaper, wipe's, gloves and pj's all ended up in a Wal-mart bag in the outside garbage, problem solved!!

Plane, Plane, Plane

Can anyone guess if Mason was excited to see the airplanes at my mom's work?
I was holding him and he was bouncing up and down, pointing at all the planes and saying "Plane, plane, plane"
Now I have two boys who are obsessed with airplanes

A Little Re-decorating

While my sister was at work Gavin and I decided to do a little re-decorating for my sister and add some COLOR!! I held the spool and Gavin told me where to put it and this is what we ended up with!!

Pretty Amazing don't ya think?

How I Really Feel

When Cody gets home after being gone for two weeks I am SO EXCITED to see him!! I can hardly contain myself as I watch him get off the charter, grab his luggage (which feels like an eternity) and walk inside to the Aeromark lobby. I remain calm so as not to embarrass him, but if I acted like how I really felt this would be it!! (In case you couldn't guess the part of the dog is being played my me!)

Bon Fire!!

Saturday after the boys party we tore down an old fence at my parents and built a bon fire. We made it look like a log cabin and put my parents Christmas tree in the middle of it, but once the tree burned up it wouldn't keep going so they knocked it over and just kept adding to it. I got to be in charge of the hose and not letting the ditch or the field catch on fire, woo hoo!!

 My super strong MAN!!!
 Paul showing him up
Waiting for it to burn down a little so we could roast hot dogs and marshmallows for smores
Gavin trying to roast hot dogs. It was too hot to get very close, but he couldn't wait, he was too excited!
Paul risking his hair to roast a hot dog. Cody singed his eyelashes and eyebrows, oops!

Bailee is not so sure about Uncle Kenny's facial hair
Gavin got this from my sister for his birthday and he started painting it and then wanted me to paint it like the one on the box. I painted the lion and the stripes and then he told me I forgot the "Joe". I tried to convince him his name wasn't Joe, but he wanted it the same and said "I like the word Joe." So I painted the name Joe on my son Gavin's football!! P.S. Not bad for someone who has absolutely no painting ability right?...Right? (I know it sucks, you can tell me the truth!!)

March

Gavin at 5

Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 4'9
Weight: 44.2 lbs
Clothes: Size 5
Shoes: Size 11
Food: Vanilla ice cream, blueberry muffins, grape and apple juice, Grape candy, Pizza
Color: Black, gray, yellow and white
Song: I am a Child of God per Gavin, but he ALWAYS listens to "Apologize", and he also likes anything by Crazy Frog,"I'm Elmo and I know it", "Red Solo Cup" by Toby Keith and of course "Firework" by Katy Perry
Movie: Kung Fu Panda 2

He can read (since December), count to 30 without help and is a whiz at puzzles up to 60 pieces and needs minimal help with 100 piece. He is ALWAYS ALWAYS asking questions, detailed questions and can tell you which ways to turn to get to both grandparent's houses including the one that lives in Rigby, his preschool and various stores and a few other houses.

He loves Batman, Spiderman, Ironman, Incredible Hulk (you get the idea), dinosaurs, ninja's and airplanes.  He keeps telling us he is going to be a "black ninja pilot" when he grows up.

He loves to go fishing, camping, ride his bike and the 4 wheeler, play with friends and cousins and watch movies.

He likes to help me cook and especially loves to help by licking the beaters.

He gives lots of hugs and kisses and still loves to snuggle and have stories read to him : )

He is a good big brother and a super helper to me. He helps unload the dishwasher, helps me wash laundry and folds pants and kitchen towels, washes windows, mops and takes the stinky diapers to the outside garbage.

He is super funny and likes to pull faces to make us laugh.

He loves to play Hide and Seek and "There's a spider in the kitchen!" (a silly game I made up last year)

He loves to take pictures and watch the videos on my camera. I have to hide it from him so he doesn't kill my battery.

Fishing...finally!!

Gavin has been wanting to go fishing and camping forever!! The weather was finally nice enough (by Idaho standards) to go. He was so excited and even asked on the way home when we were going to go again.
 Baiting the hooks
 Fishing
Mason was only interested in one type of fish!! He kept saying fish over and over again.

Batman Birthday at Blast Off

 My Handsome 5 year old!!!
He started of the day by going to preschool and he got a birthday crown from  his teacher Mrs. Dennert that he was so proud of!
I put balloons in his room like I do every year.
He got to have a friend birthday party this year so we went to Blast Off. He wanted another Batman Birthday Party even though he had one last year. Lynn Mitchell in our ward made Gavin the awesome Batman banner in the background for his birthday just because! She is the sweetest thing!
He wanted white cupcakes with white frosting so I added Batman symbols and some black sprinkles to go with his Batman theme
 Feeding Big Bertha
Getting some help from his daddy
In the ball pit with his buddies!
Gavin, Thatcher, Reese, Chaz, Drake, Isaiah and Luke
Blowing out his birthday candle with a little help from Thatcher
For his birthday dinner he wanted pizza (even though we just had pizza at lunch at his birthday party) and he wanted G&G Blakely to come. We went to Pizza Hut and then came home and opened presents. Gavin got a Leappad from us this year.
Mason finally got to open his too!
This is what we got him, a Little People's Stand N Play Ramp-way
All 3 kids had fun playing with it
