Palisades Resivoir

Palisades Reservoir is only at 10% capacity right now so we decided to drive up and check it out.
Gavin on the dam
All the old dead trees is where the reservoir is usually filled to
 Ta tonka
I don't know if it's ok, but we walked down the damn to the water line. None of us ended up in jail so either it's not a big deal or they were out to lunch. You can really tell from this picture how low it is.
Gavin is going to be the next David Copperfield
On the way to Alpine. This is typically under water
If you look super close you can see some water off in the distance
Gavin has been putting my new mother's day gift to good use!

Mother's Day

Our annual Mother's Day picture!
This is what I got!
I layed out in a chair like this when I was in AZ and was raving about it and so my sweet sugar plum got me one for Mother's Day, but below it the BEST gift ever!!! My little Gavin!

His Super Hero pose
He left to go potty and never came back, this is what I found. His pants and underwear at his ankles with my entire container of new dental floss all pulled out and all over the floor, but he was wrapping it back up for me onto his fingers.
He put the Gingerbread chap stick on all by himself!

P.S. There is suppose to be a picture of me and my mom here, but I totally spaced it until we were almost home last night. I will get one and post it later

9 years and counting

Cody and I have been married for 9 years as of May 3rd.  He found a sitter and we went out on a hot date. He gave me a kiss at every stop sign followed by a single red rose, for a total of 9 and then on the 10th kiss I got a bouquet of flowers. (I put them all together in one vase) We went to the new Stockman's in Idaho Falls and they were not very busy because it was a Tuesday and their grand opening is this weekend so we were waited on hand and foot, then we went to a movie. We ended up watching Rango due to lack of other options. Then headed home since it was a school night and we had to relieve our sitter. I can't believe we have been married for 9 years and sometimes I can't believe it's only been 9 years. We've had quite the adventure and I'm curious to see what the future brings!

Arizona or Bust

What do you get when you add 6 fun and crazy women with 4 fun and sunny days in Arizona?

ONE HECK OF A GREAT TIME!!!

We started planning this trip a few months ago. It started out as going to dinner and a movie on night and ended up with us flying to Arizona for 4 days, going to a Major league baseball game, a Kenny Chesney concert, shopping and a lot of rest and relaxation at the pool. I am soooo glad that we didn't stick with our original plan!!  We left on Friday, April 29th and flew back on Monday, May 2nd.

This was my backyard Friday morning...it snowed!
It was 95* when we landed in Mesa! = )
Raini FINALLY made it through securtiy after multiple attempts

I get motion sickness pretty bad and was seriously on the verge of puking multiple times as we were landing (which took forever and was VERY turbulent). Raini even had her barf bag handy for me, just in case! Jo had some Fritos in her purse and eating something salty really helped. We landed in the wonderful warm sunshine and were met by Jeff and Linda, our awesome host who pampered us and made us think we were all staying at a spa! We went to their house for lunch and then it was off to the game!
On the lightrail headed to the game
Raini, Monica, Marilyn, Joann, Tamra
Our new friend (in the hat and glasses) that was trying to hit on Raini , Me, Raini, Monica, Marilyn and Joann. This was quite the ride. The closer we got to the game the more Cubs fans piled in and they were getting Rowdy! It even got to the point where if you were not a Cubs fan in Cubs gear they wouldn't let you on. Apparently the Cubs are huge in Phoenix because they use to do their spring training there. We also witnessed a guy who literally lost his pants twice on the way. Lucky for us he had something on underneath.
Chase Field Stadium
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chigaco Cubs
Their were Cubs fans everywhere! I felt bad for the Diamondbacks, they were on their home turf and getting booed at.
I've never been to a  MLB game and it was pretty fun.
Monica, Me and Raini
We pigged out! We had hotdogs, nachos, drinks, popcorn and about everything else we could get our hands on!
I tried with several failed attempts to get a group picture of us at the game...
As you can see it wasn't working very well, hence the next picture
"I've got a beer!"
The lady next to me agreed to take our picture, on one condition, I had to hold her beer for her.
The bobble heads at the game
Final Score, it was a good game.
There was even a guy who proposed to his girlfriend just like on the movies
Outside the stadium
Raini and I are wearing hats we bought for our boys
Chase Field Stadium
Tamra, our very dedicated "Salty Seniorita"
She was the only one who exercised the entire time
Grapes in a palm tree

Not sure what this is, but it was so pretty
Oranges
There's a long and funny story why we took our picture at Circle K, just know that it was funny, blisters were involved and Tamra got her Diet Coke!!
Something you would never see in a front yard in Idaho
The very delicious Mexican restaurant we had lunch, Tia Rosa
Joann, Monica, Teri, Raini, Tamra, Marilyn
Just a picture I took
After lunch we headed to the Chandler mall for some shopping and in Monica's case, some pampering
After having an OUTDOOR BBQ David took us out to see the sites. First stop, Fry's Marketplace! I guess the secret that I own an entire chain of grocery stores is out in the open now. ; ) I even got my own Fry VIP card!
We toured ASU campus (which was HUGE), Mill Ave, went to In and Out to get my hubby a t-shirt and a few other places that I will not mention (What happens in Pheonix, stays in Phoenix) and ended up at a very delicious icecream shop called the Sugar Bowl.
It's been around since 1958 and I can see why! I don't the name of whatever it was that I got, but I want more!! It was so good. It was a 5 in cream puff cut in half, with icecream put inside, the top put back on and then the most amazing hot fudge ever covering the top! Mmmmmmm!

We spent many hours hanging out by the pool getting lots of rest and relaxation, talking and laughing!

Tamra and Raini both "accidentally" fell into the pool and I tried to save them, but couldn't
so they r-epayed me by pouring a picture of ice water on my while I was in the shower ; )
Teri, Joann, Tamra, Marilyn, Monica, Raini and our hosts who let all of us crazy girls bombard their house and treated us like pampered princesses, Jeff and Linda
The cactus is huge
When I figure out how to do it, I'll post the end result of this picture.
There is a beach in the background and its gorgeous. (There seems to be a lot of beer on this blog which is ironic because we are all a bunch of Mormon girls and none of us drink)

Pretend that is me standing there with Kenny Chesney. He was taking pictures with fans, but by the time we realized it, the line was a mile long.
So this is as close as I could get
We ate dinner here and were apparently to loud and obnoxious because we actually had people request to not sit by us! They were all jsut jealous because we were having such a GREAT time!
Uncle Kracker
Billy Currington
Monica and J.R. Ewing
Joann and Tamra
Kenny Chesney
Me and my girl Rain-Dawg
(We totally rock it when we are in PACU together)
The last picture I took of the trip. We flew out Monday morning (Tamra and I had Dramamine this time) and landed in cold Idaho around noon. Cody and Gavin surprised me at the airport! It was good to get away, but it was even better to have them in my arms!!

Thanks ladies, it was a BLAST and I can't wait to start planning for next year!
