Happy Birthday Madisen!

Happy 1st Birthday Madisen!
We bought her a Busy Ball Bopper.
Gavin loves his. He wore his first one completely out because he
played with it so much and he still plays with his second one.

Showing the babies how it works!

Spud Day

Every year there is a Spud Day in Shelley. Every year Cody wants to go and every year we forget or have something else we need or want to do, but this year we actually made it and I was VERY surprised. I had NO IDEA what a big deal it was. I knew that if you stood in a REALLY long line then you could get a free baked potato and I pictured the entire park filled with picnic tables and people eating potatoes, but I was WRONG! There was a pretty impressive parade, inflatable toys, craft booths, tons of food booths, face painting, paint balling, etc. The entire bark was filled with fun stuff to do. They were even making a ENORMOUS batch of mashed potatoes in a cement mixer, that's right, a cement mixer. That's how many they were making. We didn't stay to see what they were going to do with them, but apparently they dump them in a big hole in the ground and then have a tug-a-war to see who ends up in the potatoes. I'll check it out next year and let you know cuz I'm pretty sure we are going to make it next year now that I know it's not a bunch of baked potatoes and picnic tables. ; )

LaBoR dAy WeEkEnD

We started the weekend early with a trip to Tautphus Park Zoo.  Gavin saw a parrot there and he ran up to it and said   "Oh, do you want a cracker?"
Heise Hot Springs was next. We went on the Dragon Slide (does anyone still call it that?) over and over....
..and over and over and over and over.( I just realized what a funny word OVER is.)  Luckily Cody tagged me out a time or two so my jell-oee legs could recover from climbing the stairs repeatedly
Nap time under the towel
Followed by me turning my arms into jello this time! Next up, the ab workout!
We hit Heise Pizza Parlor for Lunner (Lunch and Dinner)
Then it was time for Huckleberry picking.
One of the few Huckleberries that we found! I know, I know, You Snooze you loose right? My honey did make me some VERY DELICIOUS huckleberry pancakes for breakfast the next morning so it was worth it!
Gavin hit this tree so hard with his stick that it bent it!
Off course we can't forget to mention Gavin's sweetheart Kate and the 4 wheeler ride
After church on Sunday Gavin sat on the front lawn FOREVER!! When I asked him what he was doing he said "Just Looking."  At what I guess I will never know
